Dr. Scott received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He completed a Family Practice Internship at Tucson General Hospital, a Psychiatry Residency at the University of Arizona, and a Child Psychiatry Fellowship at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona.
Dr. Scott has served as a Staff Psychiatrist and Medical Director for inpatient and outpatient facilities in Texas and Mississippi. Dr Scott has served as the Medical Director of Central Counties Center for Mental Health and Mental Retardation in Temple, Texas, and prior to coming to Cedar Crest he served as a Staff Psychiatrist at Central Texas Veterans Health Care Systems in Temple, Texas.
Dr. Scott is a Board Certified Psychiatrist in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Philip Scott provides psychiatric services to the Child and Adolescent Programs at Cedar Crest.
